NitroTime is an app that will help you estimate your runtime of your RC car so that you can select the optimal pit-stop strategy in your final(s).

The runtime of your RC car is something that will vary and have lots of variables playing a role; track, driving style, temperature, humidity, fuel, engine, tires, drive line friction, glow plug, etc, etc. The best way to know your runtime is the measure it at race day.

By knowing your runtime more precisely you can then select the optimal pit-stop strategy. Selecting the optimal pit-stop strategy is very important in competitive RC car racing, if you select the wrong pit-stop strategy you will either run out of fuel in your final or pit to often, both leading to poor results.

Use NitroTime in the practice heats to get a good estimate of your runtime so you can select the optimal pit-stop strategy. No more guessing, no more running out of fuel in a final or pit to often loosing time. NitroTime will help you take your racing to the next level!

This app is made for RC cars with 75, 125 or 150 ml fuel-tanks.

How to use this app (these instructions are also available within the app)

1. To get an as correct estimate of your runtime as possible make sure that your engine is up to working temperature. That is, run your RC vehicle for a few minutes (5-10 minutes should do it) in race phase.

2. When your engine is up to temperature fill up your fuel-tank to 100% full.

3. Then run the vehicle in race pace and track the time spent running your vehicle. Around 3-5 minutes is enough to get a good estimate.

4. Bring your vehicle in, note the time spent and measure how much fuel you now can fill back into the fuel-tank to get it to 100% full (this is easy using a graded fuel-gun or similar).

5. Then in the app, under the "Runtime Calculator"-tab, select your fuel-tank size, the time spent running your vehicle and the amount of fuel used during that time. The app will then estimate, on the fly, your runtime for a full tank of fuel.

6. You can then go to the "Fuel Card"-tab to see possible pit-stop strategies for 15, 20, 30, 45 or 60 minute finals. Note that the first pit-stop time, marked in red, is also the pit-stop interval.
